Hamrad was founded as a business in 1948 with, the objective of supplying and servicing the Amateur Radio enthusiast market in South Africa.The name of the company was changed to Hamrad Electronics (Pty) Ltd in 1992 when the current management purchased the business.
Hamrad is active in both wholesale and retail sectors of the South African Electronic market, also exporting to a certain range of clientele.
